Cooperation with industry:

WOiO cooperates with more than 70 companies and industrial partners among which there are many well-known organisations like as: GE, REMONTOWA Holding, ALSTOM, DNV GL, ABS, POLBOAT, PRS, Wartsila, Man-B&W, CRIST, CTO, Deltamarin and StoGda.

We offer the following areas of cooperation with industry:

  • Common R&D projects,
  • Professional expertise,
  • Lectures delivered by specialist from industry within study programs  (2-4 hours),
  • Advertising the industrial partners’ job offers (web page, posters, etc.),
  • Presentation of industrial partner within meetings of Academy of Maritime Industries (a common project run by the faculty and FORUM OKRETOWE),
  • PhD, MSc and BSc thesis, the topic is delivered by the industry, realized under supervision of an academy staff in cooperation with one supervisor from industry,
  • Internships both for students and academic staffs for a specified period of time (1 to 6 months),
  • Student’s competition organized commonly by the industrial partner and the faculty,
  • Professional courses regarding CAE tools, methods, organization and management run in collaboration  with industry,
  • Students visits and seminars in the industrial partner location,
  • Other propositions – we are open for all kinds of cooperation to enhance the level of education and research


Cooperation with academy:

We offer the following areas of cooperation with academic partners:

  • Staff exchange within common initiatives, bilateral agreements or EU measures, e.g. ERASMUS
  • Visiting professors
  • Common scientific and technical publications, incl. papers in ISI indexed journals
  • Common R&D projects,
  • Joint study program or double-degree diploma
  • PhD and post-doc opportunities
  • Common students’ projects and competitions
  • Organising BSc, MSc, PhD courses for a selected group of students based on the partner’s demands and needs (in Gdańsk),
  • Training and educational courses and tests in International Students Research Centre on the Iława lake.
